eMachines Slits Customer's Throat
The person who sent the email recently bought an eOne, the WinTel iMac clone from eMachines. Unfortunately, the CD drive was defective, and they had to send it back to eMachines. If something goes wrong with your eOne, you have to ship it to eMachines in Irvine, CA for a replacement -- at your expense. Supposedly, after 2-3 weeks you'll get a new eOne.
What's the problem here? Why is eMachines giving their customers such horrible service? Most likely, it's the fact that eMachines sells stuff so cheaply. If you're going to cut corners somewhere, why not just knock out the whole customer service department. And while I'm at it, I might as well tell you how UGLY the eOne is. Pictured on the right is an eOne. On the left is an iMac DV Special Edition. Which do YOU think looks better? If you're in the mood for shopping, go visit Outpost.com and buy yourself an iMac or some other cool Mac stuff to propel you into the year 2000. Happy New Year! -John Norton
