The Phillips Files #11 -- Same Old - Same Old

This morning was like no other - this morning I decided to actually get up off my "***" and get something accomplished!!

I have dwelled too long on my son's medical situation and the excessively frustrating lack of information from his doctor. I have spent way too many hours researching his symptoms and effects on the internet [I'd be a lot less frightened if I'd just read a Stephen King novel].

It is time for me to get back to work!!

So, where better to start than reading the MacMilitia site then flow over to a variety of other Mac News and Mac Information sites.

Gez! Nothing seems to change. Dell lied about being Number 1 in the Education Market [or were not complete in gathering &/or tallying the information], Microsoft has been using "illegal" practices relating to their stocks,

Microsoft bug reports abound [OE 5 - this time], everyone is updating to become compatible with the ultimate OS [MacOS 9], pro-wintel sites still proving their ignorance and still spreading lies & misinformation about the Mac.

It seems to be an endless cycle of Apple innovations - wintel insults & misinformation - wintel copying the innovations & then brags and boasts about them being wonderful wintel innovations.

Where and when will it end?

NOT HERE!!!!

Here I go again - another day just like all the others; sitting semi-comfortably upon my rear - reading and researching - and somewhat stumped on which direction this column should take. Then, like the infamous light bulb over the head, an idea struck me! OUCH!!! [I hate it when that happens]

I don't need to mention wintel anything! I need to concentrate upon "MAC" information! Look at all the wondrous innovations that are sitting before me. Innovations I know very little if anything about [Firewire, USB, Sherlock, AppleWorks and all the Third Party Software and hardware available for us].

This is the direction I must take this column [for a time]. So in the future, readers of this column will find information about the many wonders I find while learning about this "piece of innovative genius" called a Mac.

I will, of course, divert from this basis if those "other" computer propaganda machines really piss me off and I feel the "NEED" to respond to their stupidity!

I thank everybody for their patience and hope to be back to doing "at least" one column per week!
