Tangerine iBook Appeared in 1995 Movie by R.P. Phillips |
That's right; an Apple Tangerine iBook has been spotted appearing in a movie made in 1995 by Disney and Pixar. Yes; I'm talking about Toy Story, the original movie and not the recently released Toy Story 2. This comes from watching the video countless times with my son (presently one of his two favorite movies).
Think I'm kidding? I'm not! For all who have a copy of the movie, just take a look at the beginning sequence with Andy and Woody in the living room. When Andy launches Woody from one chair to the other, look at what is behind Woody when he lands. That's right; a Tangerine iBook, including the Apple logo on the front of it.
Hopefully, someone out there will have the ability to capture this specific sequence (video capture card or DVD copy of the movie) on their computer and send it in to us. I would love the opportunity to post pictures of the iBook captured in an animated movie made years before the iBook was introduced.
Does this mean that we should be paying closer attention to every Pixar release and keeping our eyes peeled for future Apple releases? I'm awaiting the release of Toy Story 2 to video and believe me, I'm going to be very attentive!
Are there hints of future, or recently released Apple products, in other Pixar creations? I will attempt to look at the ones I have, and trust others will do the same. I sincerely hope, if you find any, you let me know before notifying your favorite rumor site.
